Yaoi Clichés

I think a friend of mine would be upset if I posted this without giving it a small piece of my mind.

Although most yaoi mangas and anime (for example, Junjou Romantica, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi and Koisuru Boukun) depict sex scenes with the Uke saying things like “No” and “Stop” and “I don’t want to do this”, then somehow implying they actually want it, and then having the seme saying “relax” or “I know you want this” it doesn’t make it any less like depicting rape. If the uke is drunk and he says no, and the seme still goes ahead, then its rape. If the uke says he doesn’t want to and the seme doesn’t listen, its rape. I don’t particularly hate any of the series above mentioned (actually those were the first 3 yaoi mangas I read) but I do believe they somehow romanticize rape and that’s just wrong. Rape’s not a joke nor it is romantic you guys. And I believe most of you are quite young so, I’m just trying to be a good adult here.
